All of our eyeglasses are processed in the United States. We use highly respected, high quality laboratories to process our eyeglasses. In fact, our labs are the same labs that are used by most optometrists and may retail chains. Our labs are members of the Optical Laboratories Association. All of our eyeglasses are made according to the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) guidelines provided by the US Government.
All eyeglass frames sold in the US (including optometrists, retail chains and Glasses Direct) are mostly made in other countries, such as Italy, China and Korea. Eyeglass lenses are also made in various parts of the world. However, many are made here in the US. Glasses Direct uses lenses from various sources, including some from the US and some from other countries. All lenses meet or exceed the FDA requirements for safety and quality.
