Getting and using your prescription

Is your prescription in valid?

Before ordering your glasses, you need a copy of your prescription in hand.

You may already have a copy from a previous eye exam, and providing it’s less than two years old, 1 year in some states, or as prescribed by your eye doctor, it's fine to use.

Taking an eye exam

Alternatively, you'll need to go to your local eye doctor and get your eyes examined. After an eye exam, your eye doctor by law is obliged to give you a copy of your prescription. Either way, we recommend you ask your eye doctor to include your pupillary distance measurement in your prescription. See the FAQ on pupillary distance measurement.

Reading your prescription

If you can read your prescription then you are ready to browse our product categories - entering the details only once you’ve chosen the frames.

It’s important that you enter everything written on your prescription on our order form. If there’s something you’re unsure about or can’t read, call us on 888 520 2020 and we’ll talk you through it.

How to order online

1) Click the type of glasses you want from the selection on the left. You can also use our Best Fit Machine below to select the frames that most closely match the measurements of your existing glasses. Still want to know more? 2) Once you've chosen a frame, just key in the details of your prescription, select your lens, then check out. We accept most types of major credit cards.

Ordering over the phone

Once you’ve chosen your frame from our website, call our customer service team on 888 520 2020 - they’ll talk you through different lens options, and ask for your prescription and payment details.

Ordering by fax

These are the best options for those not confident with their prescription details, and people who can’t understand what their optician’s written.

Please fill in the order form with details of the frame you want, and either mail it back to us, or fax it - with your prescription - to 888 267 9956. Prescriptions - whether the original or a copy - will be kept on file (unless you specify otherwise), so that should you choose to re-order, we’ll have your details on hand.
